Back in 2013, North Shore born and bred Mark Fisher founded 84 Recruitment in his living room with a crappy laptop, no money and shit-tons of hope. In a crowded market, he tactically decided to flip the traditional script of recruitment and chased the best candidates over winning clients. This opened doors to even the hardest companies because he could deliver solutions, not empty promises and we proudly live by that same ethos today.
Mark wanted to build a business that inspired candidates to find their passion, helped clients to win with the best people and most importantly, grow recruiters from any background to feel empowered to create their best life.
Today, 84 is a dynamic, fast-growing business based in the world-renowned B:Hive Building in Auckland. Our recruiters come from a diverse range of backgrounds and we recruit a wide range of disciplines, both in public and private sector - we’ve found exceptional people a (work)place to call home from all across New Zealand and all over the world.
We’re a human-centred yet sophisticated data-driven business, meaning we recruit with intelligence but help businesses make sensible decisions that consider the whole person. It’s how we’ve grown our own business, too.
